Floating Charge Method

The battery used intermittently or only in case of AC power failure is charged by floating charge. Floating charge method is generally used to charge the fixed battery used in some special occasions. The main advantage of floating charge method is that it can reduce the gas evolution rate of the battery and prevent overcharge. At the same time, because the battery is powered in parallel with the DC power supply, when the electric equipment is powered by a large current, the battery will instantly output a large current, which helps to stabilize the voltage of the power supply system and make the electric equipment use electricity normally. The disadvantage of floating charge method is that individual batteries are unevenly charged and under charged, so it is necessary to carry out regular equalization charging.
